Plaintiff was a patient at a substance abuse facility. Facility was aware patient was on blood thinners following an aortic valve replacement. Facility errantly ordered the wrong dosage of patient’s blood thinner medication. For two weeks, patient was receiving too low of a therapeutic dosage of the blood thinner, eventually causing a hemorrhagic stroke.
