KTL”s Dan Kramer and Teresa Johnson break down their $2.9 Million non-economic construction site accident verdict from work up through voir dire to rebuttal. The case revolves around an electrician client who was walking through a large job site before sunrise when he fell in a four-foot open trench fracturing three ribs and lacerating his spleen. There were a total of five doctor visits for these injuries, so the focus was on the client’s permanent soreness in his rib area. They will breakdown the liability issues involving general contractors, sub-contractors, and plaintiff’s employer, as well as how to develop non-economic damages when there is little to no treatment.
