WHAT: Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities (LATLC) Second Annual Holiday Turkey and Toy Giveaway
More than 60 trial lawyer volunteers will be joined by elected officials and community leaders to distribute turkey dinner groceries and toys to local families. Approximately 2,500 adults and children are expected to participate in the holiday event.
WHEN: Saturday, December 16, 2017 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. 12 p.m. – Formal Program
WHERE: New Prospect Baptist Church, 10910 South Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90061
WHO: The event is organized by Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities (LATLC) along with New Prospect Baptist Church, LAPD South East Division, and the L.A. City Council Eighth District.
The primary purpose of the LATLC is to make a positive difference in the quality of life for people within the greater Los Angeles area, focusing on issues related to education, children, survivors of abuse, persons with disabilities, and homelessness.
DETAILS: 550 turkeys and grocery packages will be distributed for holiday dinners.
- Each family will receive:
- Frozen turkey
- Roasting pan
- Box of stuffing
- 4 cans of green beans
- Box of mashed potatoes
- 4 packets of gravy
- Toys for their children
- In addition there will be a Holiday Village with:
- Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus
- Face painters & crafts
- Pony carousel
- “Reindeers”
- Balloon makers
- Food carts
